His real name and origins remain shrouded in mystery. He arrived in the village of Shirdi at approximately 16 years old, where he chose to live an ascetic life, often meditating under a neem tree. This humble beginning marked the start of a spiritual journey that would touch millions of lives.

Life in Shirdi

Sai Baba resided in a dilapidated mosque he lovingly named Dwarakamayi. Within its walls, he maintained a sacred fire called Dhuni, distributing its ash (Udi) to devotees. Followers believed this sacred ash possessed miraculous healing properties, and it became a powerful symbol of his blessing and grace.
